Overnight Oats

Overnight oats are a nice way to get fiber, fruits, protein, and healthy fats all in one meal. They are easy to make in bulk too!

Ingredients:

 

  • 2 cups regular oats (NOT quick cooking)

  • 2 cups soy milk or lactose free milk 

  • ¼ cup golden raisins

  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

Choose Two:

  • ¼ cup slivered almonds (or 1 TBS of almond butter)

  • 20 chopped walnuts

  • 1 TBS chia seeds

  • 1 TBS hemp seeds

  • 1 TBS flax seeds

Directions:

1. Combine all ingredients

2. Stir and let it sit overnight

3. Add 1/3 cup blue berries or sliced strawberries to each serving 

Things to note:

Overnight oats are a great way to get a good dose of both soluble and insoluble fiber. The oats are the soluble fiber and the flax or chia seeds are the insoluble! Both fibers contribute towards healthy bowel movements!
